There has been controversy on social between Ghanaians and Nigerians as actress Iyabo Ojo threatened to sue a Ghanaian social media content creator named ‘Official Dacosta’ for copyright reasons. The popular Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo has claimed that ‘Official Dacosta’ has recreated her expensive dress from the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) without her consent or permission.

The Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) recently celebrated its ninth edition and several Nigerian celebrities made it to the show to showcase their regal and glamorous-looking outfits on the black carpet at the Eko Hotel and Suites.
Since this was a celebrity thing, Iyabo Ojo was not left out and made it to the program in her black dress adorned with red and orange feathers that created the effect of flames which gave viewers that mesmerizing illusion.
After the event at Eko Hotel and Suites, a Ghana content creator ‘Official Dacosta’ who is known for redesigning and creating humorous outfits of celebrities using low budget was caught up in a crossfire with the Nollywood actress who then threaten to sue her.

Not only did she recreate a humorous dress of the actress but also portrayed a satirical version of Iyabo Ojo dress, her hair as well as her makeup.

She disclosed to her Instagram followers that her amazing glamorous dress cost a staggering amount of $50,000.00 which cost about N37.5 million and about Ghc 559.00 in Ghana cedis.
The 45 years old actress went to her official Instagram page to express her thought about her dress and how the Ghanaian content creator made a hilarious joke about her dress.
She expressed her disbelief at how someone will make fun of her beautiful, amazing, and expensive dress in such a manner.
Iyabo Ojo wrote on her official Instagram page saying “Please someone get me a lawyer’s number, I need to sue this guy…I do not want anyone to beg me, we shall meet in the courtroom, my $50,000.00 dress, no wayyyy”
