John Mahama, Dr. Bawumia and Other Powerful Political Leaders Storms Kumawu

The flagbearer and the leader of the biggest opposition party in Ghana currently, John Dramani Mahama storms Kumawu today. This is as a result of the upcoming by-elections. The sudden political shift in Kumawu is surprising since the death of the parliamentarian in Sekyere Kumawu.

John Mahama met opinion leaders in the community seeking their support for their own child, and a relative of the late Philip Basoa.

John Mahama is quite sure that his candidate will win for NDC to add up to their numbers. He even added during the visit to them that NPP has done nothing for Kumawu with the exception of the overnight projects.

John Dramani Mahama, the former president,  referred to the current government as a “No show”, but blatant lies about achievement. However, the NDC has built a district hospital for the district which was 70% completed. NDC according to John Mahama, has given the Kumawu portable water to drink. He asked the NPP to show just a single project in Kumawu.

This by-election will be coming off on the 23rd of May 2023. The National Democratic Congress executives are currently there today, 19th May 2023. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, Kwadwo Bonsu, Opare Addo, and other powerful executives are all present in the Sekyere Kumawu constituency.

We have intercepted other news that, other powerful officials of the ruling government including Vice President Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia are also storming Sekyere for the campaign.

This is a powerful context that the two political parties are trying to win. The ruling NPP government thinks the seat is already for them. They are working day and night to still maintain their seat.

Will it be a shock to them? We are monitoring all the trends to see what will emerge from the elections.

The Ashanti Regional chairman is currently in Kumawu with his team campaigning seriously. Chairman Wontumi is going from house to house, door to door asking the citizens for their votes.

Other strong party executives nationally are also present there doing their bidding to win the elections.

Stephen Ntim who is now the national chairman, Nana Boakye, Fremah Opare, Kennedy Agyapong among others are also there doing strong campaigns.

Other powerful executives including ministers are all over the place seeking for the votes of the indigenes of Kumawu.

Will NPP win or NDC will snatch the seat?
