Another emerging artist is Mohammed Ishmael Serif popularly known as Black Sherif or Blacko in the Music Industry. Black Sherif is the Ghanaian hottest young rapper who hails at Konongo in the Ashanti region.

According to Black Sherif, the meaning of the Black Sherif is ‘High Born African’ amazing.

Black Sherif is just nineteen (19) years of age and he’s currently studying Marketing at the University of Professional Studies (UPSA).

He first dropped his first single track in 2019 which was ‘Cry for me’.

Yaa Pono helped me record my first track, he said. He then dropped ‘Money’ which was making a lot of waves in the country and outside Ghana as well.

We thought Black Sherif was gone after getting the fame when he dropped the ‘Money’, but later he came up with ‘First Sermon’ and ‘Second Sermon’ and we can all give a testimony about it, how it been played in the street, pups, events, individuals play his song especially the Second Sermon.

It then appears that Sarkodie has endorsed his Second Sermon song and Black Sherif even added that he’s looking to have collaboration with him. But we don’t even know the exact day it will come because Sarkodie is busy touring in Africa promoting his “No Pressure album”.

Due to Black Sherif’s energy, vibes, lines, and his style of doing his music, he has attracted the South African artist to have a collaboration in his upcoming EP named ‘Golden Boy Pack’.

According to Ciza, every word, line, lyrics of Black Sherif’s Second Sermon has served him as an inspiration. This place is a great source of inspiration for me, even the artist here is amazing, he added.

In an interview with Ciza, which artist in Ghana do you wish to work with him or her on your Golden Boy Pack EP?

He answered that there is an artist in Ghana named Black Sherif, in fact, the guy is a very super multi-talented rapper who is looking forward to working with him.

That wasn’t a surprise when he named Black Sherif, because arguably he’s one of the hottest and trending artists in Ghana right now irrespective of the likes of Shatta Wale,  Stone boy, Kidi, Kwasi Arthur, King Promise, Yaw Tog, Amerado, and the likes.

Ciza then added that there is also a certain lady who did a collaboration with a Nigerian artist Omah Lay in her ‘Forever remix’, Gyakie.

Ciza commended Gyakie

Gyakie deserves a special mention, she is fantastic and Gyakie is well–known in his country, South Africa, he added.

It seems Ciza is more than a fan in Ghanaian artists. It has even appeared that Ciza has picked a lot of artists in Ghana to be featured on his upcoming EP because of the love he has for the artist.

His new EP has the same vibe as the ‘Gyal dem sugar’ Kidi Golden Boy album with the same hairstyle.

Isn’t it amazing how Ciza has expressed his love for our very own artist?

Do you cherish the artists we have in Ghana as Ciza have for them, if not you better change your mind and your perception and start cherishing them?

Currently, Ciza is in Ghana to promote his Golden Boy Pack EP which was launched in Accra.

Hoping for this collaboration to come between Ciza from South Africa and Black Sherif from Ghana,  it gonna be fire.

Let’s support our own because they’re the ones we have now.

One People, One Nation, One Ghana.
